Nick Taylor has second round lead at 2025 Memorial

Nick Taylor of Winnipeg, Manitoba is the co-leader at the 2025 Memorial Tournament in Dublin, Ohio. Known throughout the world as the course founded by golf legend Jack Nicklaus, Taylor is at -7 after 36 holes.

Taylor had a first round score of three-under-par 69, and a second round score of four-under-par 68. On Thursday in round one, Taylor had six birdies, one bogey and one double bogey. He birdied the fifth, sixth seventh, 13th, 16th, and 17th holes, bogeyed the third hole, and double bogeyed the 12th hole. On Friday in round two, Taylor had a significantly clean round. He had four birdies and zero bogeys. Taylor birdied the fourth, eighth, ninth, and 13th holes.

Taylor is one of two golfers tied for the lead at -7. The other golfer in the lead is American Ben Griffin of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Griffin is playing some fantastic golf as of late, as he won the Charles Schwab Challenge last week in Fort Worth, Texas. Taylor won earlier this year as he was victorious at the Sony Open in Hawaii.

There are currently two other American golfers in contention. Akshay Bhatia of Northridge, California is alone in third place at -5, and three-time major champion Scottie Scheffler of Ridgewood, New Jersey is alone in fourth place at -4. Scheffler won the 2022 and 2024 Masters, and 2025 PGA Championship.
