2 Israeli embassy staff killed in D.C. shooting attack

Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Saar says “incitement” from European countries led to the murder of the embassy staff members.

“There is a direct line connecting antisemitic and anti-Israeli incitement to this murder,” said Saar. “This incitement is also done by leaders and officials of many countries and international organisations, especially from Europe.”

In recent days, Britain, France and Canada have been among the countries urging Israel to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza and to reconsider expanding its military operation in the territory, but it’s not clear if the alleged shooter in Washington on Wednesday night was following those statements.
